The First Great-Grandchild
You will always be the ONE, who renewed my heart and soul. Holding a new generation,
a great-grandparent, my new role. The grandchild I once held, now holds a child all their own. My life so richly blessed, by all the children I have known. So joyful to hold you, and touch your sweet baby skin. It brings back long-held memories, of parenthood once again. So many years have passed, but the love one never forgets. When you hold a part of you, it is as good as life can get. You will make me smile, and delight me as you grow. You will be the sunshine, that leaves my heart aglow. You will always be the FIRST, to give a generation its start. You will always be the great-grandchild, who renewed and warmed my HEART.
